Gallery Amalthea presents BEJEWELED AND BEDEVILED by April Ferry. This solo debut exhibition features fifteen new sculptures and and six new illustrations. THE FEAST, a collection of heart-shaped food inspired sculptures that range from indulgent confectioneries to fruits dusted in dewdrops, will leave the viewer hungry for more. From there, a turn to THE BARGAIN, an iridescent pink and white serpent coiled around a white bird, its wings and feathers protruding helplessly. Ferry bridges the cute and the macabre seamlessly and unifies the genres through color – who knew pink sparkles could be so sweet yet unsettling?
